This jocker side skirt is a raw, gender-fluid reimagining of the traditional kilt created for both men and women, and existing in the blurred space between femininity and masculinity. Deconstructed and reassembled from tartan, scorched cotton, and frayed denim, it evokes a burnt-out past shaped by personal trauma and political resistance.
Shredded tartan strips unravel identity and control equal parts riot and recovery. More than a garment, this kilt becomes a statement of survival: a reclamation of cultural symbols, reshaped through the lens of addiction, queer rebellion, and transformation.
